A gift that sings back.
Festival fees, sheet music, risers, travel: most of what makes a choir year happen is paid for by families and neighbors. The best part for Arizona taxpayers is that one of these gifts costs you nothing.

Ways to help
Six ways, every budget.
- 01
Arizona tax credit
Give up to $200 (single) or $400 (married filing jointly) to Hamilton High School's extracurricular activities and claim it back on your Arizona state return. Write "Choir" on the form so it stays with the program.
How the credit works - 02
Give through CUSD
Chandler Unified's step-by-step instructions and forms for tax credit donations and fees. Online payments go through the district's receipting portal.

Fill the seats
Every concert is free. Bring friends, neighbors and an eighth grader who might join. A full house is the best gift a young singer gets.
See the season - 04
Lend a hand
Retreats, concerts and trips run on parent help: snacks, setup, chaperoning, photos. Tell the director what you can do.
Offer to help - 05
Business sponsors
Local businesses can underwrite concert programs, festival fees or travel. Reach out and the director will share current needs.
Ask about sponsoring - 06
Spread the word
Follow and share @hamilton.choir. Concert reminders and clips reach families the school newsletter does not.

How the tax credit adds up
$400 to the choir. $0 out of pocket.
A married couple filing jointly gives $400 to Hamilton extracurriculars marked "Choir". At tax time, their Arizona tax owed drops by $400. The money they would have sent the state goes to the choir instead.
A credit, not a deduction: it reduces Arizona income tax dollar for dollar, up to what you owe. Check azdor.gov for this year's limits and deadline (usually April 15 for the prior tax year).
